Klaus is the Deputy Director at Invest in Denmark.
Denmark is the most sustainable country in the world, according to The 2020 Environmental Performance Index (EPI), and the energy efficient Copenhagen aims to be the first carbon neutral capital by 2025. Denmark has almost an unbeatable reputation as being the greenest, most sustainable eco-leader out there. And this is not by coincidence or just savvy marketing – It is because Denmark has been consistently investing in green energy development for decades, and is acting on its sustainability goals instead of just talking about them. What can we learn from Denmark’s wins and fails?
Klaus will be talking about sustainability as the principal theme, both in terms of United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals and triple bottom line. How do the strategies and activities of Invest in Denmark underpin the theme? How will measurable sustainability become a competitive advantage for the Nordics as a whole? How will the Nordic investment promotion agencies navigate a post-pandemic investment landscape? How can the Nordic countries boost each other in leading change by example? Klaus has a long history working with foreign direct investment and has seen first-hand what attracts investors, and what will certainly make them disinterested.
