Markku is the Head of Industry Cleantech, Invest In Finland at Business Finland, growing capital and competences combating climate change in sustainable manner. His focus is on building and accelerating investments into clean smart energy production, battery value chain, hydrogen value chain and sustainable manufacturing into Finland to be integral part of European industrial value chains.

He will share Finland’s perspective on sustainable investments, insights into the nation’s strategy, and a framework on how national, regional and local
initiatives support, and should support, each other.

Also, How will the Nordic investment promotion agencies navigate a post-pandemic investment landscape? How can the Nordic countries boost each other?

News: Johnson Matthey chose Vaasa for sustainable battery materials plant -“Finnish Minerals Group is planning investments to develop auxiliary processes needed in the production of battery materials production. These investments are linked to Johnson Matthey’s investment in Vaasa. Finnish Minerals Group aims to develop and deploy novel technological solutions for treating sodium sulphate at a production scale, as well as implement production of selected metallic raw materials.”
